6 days

we only used this website for six days... i better get crackin on the one for next year...

got any themes in mind ppl? hahaha... no more IWN for another 6 months... why six months? because i'm going to get the team to start planning for IWN right after we get our interns for next year. early start. more time to collect recipies, even more, more exact recipies. haha. and so that we collect more volunteers. lol.

this year rocked. my first year. dang college is crazy. so much better then the movies. i'm stressed out as whatever. awesome.

Under 24 hours

And with less then 24 hours to go. Tension begins to run high. Just like any other reality show, there's drama as well as full on success. They tend to balance each other out. The food is cooking, volunteers have been putting in so many hours, we couldn't thank them enough. Decoration is looking great, the Fishbowl is serious puzzle mania. It's looking good. Four more hours today. Some more tomorrow. Then Showtime.


I'm so far behind in homework. Arn't we all...

update on us...
It is KILLER to wake up at six in the morning for chalking, even if it is only one hour earlier then i usually do. It is just inhumane. But i believe once I Night comes and it is packed and sold out, it will mos def be worth it.

So. Tonight i had dinner with Sung Kang from Tokyo Drift, Roger from Better Luck Tomorrow, and Justin Lin, director of both those movies, and of Finishing the Game, which both those guys are in. It was really awesome. Which means you guys should come to the Asian Film Festival. their website is www.disorentfilm.org tickets are sold there. Meet famous and really awesome people. fo sho.

I have an essay to edit now. I'll see you all around.

Getting Started

7:00 is an unreasonable time for anyone to be on campus... unless you belong to one of ISA's International Week and Night committees! I was fortunate enough to arrive at the EMU at 7 to find a group of my fellow ISA members chalking outside the EMU despite being sleep deprived. On top of ISA members, we actually had volunteers helping at 7. It means a lot to us for volunteers to sacrifice their time in order to help us out.

I will be the first to admit; I had my doubts about our effectiveness at 7:00 in the morning, but after seeing the (now currently progressing) decorations, all those doubts immediately vanished. The decorations are easily visible to anyone within 100 feet of the EMU, and considering the fact that everyone frequents the EMU at least once a day, it will be impossible for anyone on campus to miss.

If you see random decorations around the EMU, go to the amphitheater and check out what we're doing. Get involved if you wish. Volunteer. Participate in the events. Be an audience member. However you wish to participate, please participate in International Week and Night.

Your friendly neighborhood Decorations Grand Poo-Bah here, updating you all on the rockin' adventures of the ISA. I'm sitting in the office with about a bijillion different languages flying left and right, puzzle pieces erupting from every drawer and cupboard that hasn't been welded shut, and the lovely and unique aroma of silver spray paint lightly perfuming the air.

Needless to say, it's a lot of fun, so if you aren't volunteering, you're missing out. And we still have lots to do, so any help you'd like to give would be awesome. In the meantime, keep an eye out for yours truly running about like I'm being chased by angry hornets. It's gonna be a great week.

Less than 24 hours to go.

International Week is about begin in less than 24 hours. So whats going on with the busy IWN committee members and volunteers?

Some are helping set up for Hong Kong night, others preparing to attend it.
Some are recovering from the APASU retreat.
Some are catching up on projects and homework.
Some are sitting in the ISA office fretting if the PR worked.
Some are taking a nap.

So you see, ISA is just like you and me. Another reason everyone should come.



(Get the whole 'every piece fits... even U.S.' thing? yeah.)
